Hello everyone,

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Kelly Caplin and I will be the team manager for our 8U team this year. I am looking forward to working with the team this hockey season.

I would like to start off by asking everyone to fill out the following forms and return to me ASAP.

1. Consent to Treat -

I will also need to collect the following from each player.

1. USA Hockey Number

2. Initial $100.00 to cover up coming team expenses

3. Copy of Birth Certificate

Once the club has provided me the contact information for each family I will be updating a roster and sharing it with the team. I will be using Team Snap for this, you will get an email at some point asking you to join our team. If you would not like your contact information shared with the team, please let me know that also. Most of our team information and votes will be done through email, please include or update with the best and all email addresses, in which you would like those sent to.

If you are planning on being on the ice or coaching this season, first off talk to our coach, but the following will need to be completed and turned in prior to doing so.

1. USA Hockey Number – Must be renewed each season

2. CEP # - Check expiration date, if it needs to be renewed clinics are now up for registration and have to be completed by 12/31 along with online modules.

3. Safesport

4. Background Check

I will also be looking for volunteers this year for the clock at all home games.

If the team votes to do fundraisers to help offset the cost of tournaments and other expenses, this would be something I would need to delegate out to other parents.

Our schedule thru the end of September is now on the website. The way to sync/check the teams calendar has changed this year, here is the link to the instructions on checking the team calendar http://www.stpetersspirithockey.com/news....

All tournaments we do this season will be voted on by the team. If 75% of the team votes yes, the team will do the tournament. That being said, I need to get a vote on three tournaments that are already out there. Please email me back at kel_caplin@yahoo.com, or let me know tonight what your vote is.

Meramec Thanksgiving Tourney- Thanksgiving weekend. Price is $274, or $30.56 a family.

Blues Winter Classic Tournament- This will take place Dec. 26-31 at various rinks around the St. Louis area. The price is $495, or $55 a family.

KC Tourney- I have already registered our team for this, as it fills up very quickly, but if it does not meet the number of votes needed we will pull out. If you've never been to this one, it's a fun tournament played on both indoor and outdoor rinks. Teams show up from both sides of KC, so we usually see teams from Nebraska and Oklahoma. This tournament takes place Feb. 24-26 and is $500, or $55.57 a family.
