Our Learn to Play hockey program is designed for kids who already know how to skate well enough to make it up and down the ice without holding onto anything. Typically, two to three sessions of skating classes are advised.

Most kids enter this program at ages 5 to 8. We do allow 4-year-olds and kids as old as 12.

We offer session in the fall (Oct. to Dec), winter (Jan. to March), spring (April to May) and summer (June-July). Sessions are one hour, once a week. Note: Due to the closure of the RecPlex in July and August, there will not be a summer session in 2018.

All sessions are at the St. Peters Rec-Plex, South Building.

You get a free St. Peters Spirit jersey at check-in at the start of each session.

When registering you will be asked to choose between Learn-to-Play 1 and Learn-to-Play 2. If this is your son or daughter's first hockey experience you should choose LTP1. LTP2 is for kids who have either already completed LTP1 or have comparable experience such as private lessons, have gone to many stick & puck sessions or has roller hockey experience.
